For May's Member Spotlight, we're excited to shine a light on the exceptional talents of Richard Butler and Josh Walton, both active members of the Metro Atlanta Chapter. Their significant achievement at this year's AT&T Software Symposium led them to help secure the top spot as part of the Pi-Athletes team in the Raspberry Pi & AI Novice Track. Demonstrating not just technical expertise but innovative thinking, they led their team to first place with a pioneering project that used AI for hand gesture recognition to control Microsoft Teams, via a Raspberry Pi and a camera. This accomplishment underscores their active involvement and leadership within the Metro Atlanta Chapter, reflecting their commitment to pushing the boundaries of technology and community engagement.
